KCB Bank Uganda empowers St. Jude Primary Sch.

KAMPALA – KCB Bank Uganda has reinforced its commitment to community development and environmental stewardship with a visit to St. Jude Primary School in Naguru on Friday August 1st 2025. The initiative saw KCB Bank Uganda donate essential scholastic materials and enriching reading resources to the students, alongside a significant tree-planting exercise as part of their ambitious Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) agenda.
The pupils at St. Jude Primary School were delighted to receive a wealth of scholastic materials, including books and pens, vital for their daily learning. The bank also provided a diverse collection of reading materials and textbooks, aiming to broaden the students’ knowledge and cultivate a stronger reading culture within the school.
Beyond academic support, KCB Bank Uganda demonstrated its dedication to a sustainable future by planting trees within the school grounds. This initiative is part of the bank’s broader ESG commitment to plant over 15,000 trees across Uganda by December 2025.
Judy Wambaire, Head of Legal and Company Secretary at KCB Bank Uganda, expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative. “As our bank’s promise states, For People for Better, at KCB Bank, we believe in investing in the future, and that future begins with our children and a healthy planet,” said Wambaire.

“Our visit to St. Jude Primary School today shows our ongoing commitment to empowering young minds through education and nurturing a sustainable environment for generations to come. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the joy on the children’s faces and know that we are contributing to their growth and the well-being of our community.”
Mulyabintu Francis, the Deputy Headteacher of St. Jude Primary School, extended his heartfelt gratitude to KCB Bank Uganda.
