He outlined the programmes following a synod meeting on the 18th of August 2024, at which two archdioceses of Namugongo and Kavumbawere were created.

Ven. Canon Michael Wasswa noted after the meeting that protecting church land, outreach gospel ministry, and completing the Namugongo Church of Uganda building are matters at his heart.
“I have been installed, but the archdiocese has no building, I hope to mobile resources for the building of an office for the Archdeacon. We have an architectural design plan, so I will team up with the relevant authorities to complete the building,” he said on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
Adding, “We shall emphasize the teaching of the Bible, and work with church leaders to have income generation projects for the church. Christians are tired of making collections in church, and some do not have the money,” he added.
