KAMPALA – National Unity Platform (NUP) has donated food items to victim’s fire in Wabiduku, Kiwatule that killed four people and injured several others December 18th 2023. NUP party president Robert Kyagulyanyi and Leader of the Opposition Joel Ssennyonyi delivered the Christmas gifts December 25th after Christmas prayers at Our Lady of Good Counsel-Gayaza.
“We passed by Wabiduku in Kiwatule to share Christmas and commiserate with relatives of the victims who perished in a fire that also destroyed their homes recently. May they find comfort in the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ? I again encourage all of you who can, to share whatever you have with the vulnerable members of your community,” Kyagulyanyi posted in a tweet.
He added, “As NUP we went to share a Christmas package (a bull and 1 ton of rice and posho) with the victims of a recent fire which killed 4 people, injured others and destroyed plenty of property. In this festive season, let’s try and put a smile on the faces of those in need.”
NUP is the second largest party to the National resistance Movement, the ruling party.
