Uganda Cranes travel Congo
ENTEBBE – The Uganda Cranes will depart on Sunday morning (3am) to face off with Congo national team in the final fixture of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers.
The encounter is slated for Tuesday, 19th November 2024, with Uganda keen to finish the campaign on a high note.
Head coach Paul Put Joseph has named a strong 26-man travelling squad tasked to secure a positive result on foreign soil.
The team held an indoor recovery session earlier on Saturday afternoon to sharpen their physical and mental readiness for the encounter.
Captain Khalid Aucho addressed the media, expressing the team’s determination to secure a win.
‘We understand the importance of this game and we are committed to giving our best to ensure we end the campaign on a high note,’ said Aucho.
Uganda is second in Group K with 10 points, one behind leaders South Africa.
