UPDF Commended For Peace

MBUYA – Uganda Peoples Defense Forces has been applauded for ensuring peace and security that has enabled business to flourish. Speaking at the handover of crestram bins to the force at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs in Mbuya, Mr. Ajay Jain the General Manager, Crest Tank Limited appreciated UPDF for maintaining a good relationship with the company.
“UPDF has done a tremendous job in ensuring peace and stability in the country which has enabled business to boom resulting in the country’s economic growth,” he said.
Uganda Bureau of Statistics forecasts that Ugandan real GDP growth will pick up to 5.8% in 2024, following a slowdown to 4.6% in 2023. This marks a downward revision from the previous 2023 growth forecast of 5.5% due to the Covid pandemic that affected the economy.
Maj Patrick Ocitti Staff Officer Transport at Chieftaincy of Logistics and Engineering received bins on behalf of the force.
This was in response to the call made to the various partners of the Defence Forces by the Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Wilson Mbadi to support the Tarehe Sita activities held in Busoga Sub-region.
Mr. Ajay said Crest Tanks Limited strives to strengthen and provide quality products manufactured from non-toxic materials to enrich Ugandans.
Col. Patrick Ocitti hailed Ajay for the donation that was delivered to the people of Busoga region.
